Aethir's November 2024 Recap

Community

November was quite eventful at Aethir, with various significant developments supporting the expansion of Aethir’s DePIN ecosystem across the AI and gaming landscapes. The ATH token has gone multichain, and we have introduced our decentralized governance model, which will empower the Aethir community to participate in planning its future. Through numerous newly established partnerships, we continued supporting innovative projects revolutionizing the Web3 industry, and we’ve announced the first batch of AI companies that will receive compute grants from our $100 million Ecosystem Fund. Finally, Aethir had a massively successful week of exciting panel discussions, speeches, and presentations at Devcon Southeast Asia, along with Aethir Edge’s presentation at W2140.

Let’s dive into the details of Aethir’s key November milestones.

Aethir’s $100 Million Ecosystem Fund Is Supercharging AI Agent Development

AI agents are the hottest narrative in the AI sector, thanks to their advanced capabilities for automating complex tasks and their ability to independently make decisions, while learning from experience and self-improving their performance. Aethir is supporting AI agent development at scale with our $100 million Ecosystem Fund.

The first cohort of AI builders supported by Aethir is here. The first batch of onboarded AI agent projects includes Moemate, Creator.Bid, Capx AI, FOMO Fund, and Top Hat. These projects will be receiving GPU compute from Aethir and our Ecosystem Fund, while more will be announced soon.

With the exponential growth of the AI industry, AI agents are set to revolutionize how users create content, play games, produce videos, engage in everyday work tasks, conduct financial operations, develop software solutions, and much more. Aethir is here to provide secure, cost-effective, and reliable GPU computing services for AI agent development at scale.

Aethir Goes Multichain

In November, we established a strategic partnership with LayerZero to ensure a smooth transition of Aethir’s DePIN stack to the Sophon ZK chain. With the expansion of Aethir’s GPU cloud infrastructure, we are addressing the need for cross-chain versatility to empower our stakeholders with access to a broader range of ecosystem services.

LayerZero’s omnichain mechanics will aid the Aethir DePIN stack’s transition to a multichain network infrastructure, easing the Aethir GPU infrastructure’s upcoming migration to Sophon’s ZK chain. As part of the ATH migration test phase, our ATH token will be available on ZKsync as an Omnichain Fungible Token (OFT). This will ensure a smooth transition of ATH token rewards for Checker Nodes and Aethir Edge operators from the Arbitrum L2 network to Sophon while maintaining network stability and ensuring a frictionless experience for the Aethir community.

Aethir Introduces Decentralized Governance

At the time of our token generation event in June, we announced that one of the upcoming ATH token utilities would be decentralized governance. In November, we unveiled the plan for the introduction of Aethir’s decentralized governance model. Aethir’s transition to a decentralized governance model has been carefully planned to unfold over several phases.

During the initial phase, Aethir will create the foundational elements required for decentralized governance, such as smart contracts, voting mechanisms, and staking features. In the second phase, we will conduct educational sessions and workshops, explaining the governance model and how participants can engage. During the third phase, we’ll conduct closed beta testing to identify any potential challenges or adjustments needed before the full rollout. In the final phase, we’ll officially launch the decentralized governance system following successful beta testing and adjustments, thus empowering the community with decision-making authority.

Growing the Aethir Ecosystem with New Partnerships

Throughout November, we have announced numerous partnerships with esteemed enterprises from various segments of the Web3 sector, including AI, gaming, and blockchain infrastructure.

Five partners, including Inferix, MicroGPT, Ringfence, Zone9, and XProtocol, announced exclusive benefits for the Aethir community in the November edition of EcoDrop.

The joint grant program we launched with XPLA last month is now live, and Web3 innovators can start submitting their grant applications.

In November, Manta Network joined Aethir’s ecosystem through a strategic partnership, empowering Manta to drive Web3 innovation and help reduce development costs for projects and dApps by leveraging Aethir’s DePIN stack.

In recognition of our role in supporting Web3 innovation with our distributed GPU network, Fast Company included Aethir in its Next Big Things in Tech list for 2024, as well as in its selection of the 4 best international tech innovations of the year.

Furthermore, additional well-established and promising enterprises from the AI, gaming, and Web3 sectors have joined the Aethir ecosystem to leverage Aethir’s 43,000+ top-shelf GPUs and 3000+ NVIDIA H100s for advanced AI workloads.

In the gaming sector, XR One, joined Aethir’s powerful cohort of gaming partners focused on launching innovative Web3 gaming experiences.

In the AI segment, aelf, and DecentralGPT joined our network of partners focused on building AI-powered platforms and solutions that will change the everyday lives of people worldwide.

Also, we have announced our investment in SUBBD, which is transforming content creation through AI-powered creator tools.

Finally, together with our partners from Metastreet, Impossible Finance, and Xai, we’ve launched NodeFi Network State, a consortium of innovators transforming nodes into dynamic financial assets to scale the growth of decentralized networks.

Aethir’s Devcon Southeast Asia Journey

Devcon Southeast Asia was a key Web3 event in November, representing one of the world's largest and most prominent Ethereum ecosystem conferences. Aethir was present at this year’s Devcon edition in Bangkok, Thailand, at numerous events, including five events we co-hosted with our partners and five additional panel discussions. The conference featured dozens of dynamic events, panel discussions, keynote speeches, and exciting presentations on hot topics such as blockchain evolution, AI, DePIN, and Web3 development.

Our team had a chance to represent Aethir’s DePIN stack as a state-of-the-art solution for supporting groundbreaking innovations in the AI and gaming sectors with our globally distributed GPU cloud computing network.

Aethir Edge at W2140

At the same time as Devcon Southeast Asia, W2140, another prominent Web3 conference, was also happening in Bangkok. We had the opportunity to present Aethir Edge to industry experts from all segments of the broader Web3 sector.

The Aethir Edge team presented our flagship decentralized cloud computing device to industry leaders, startups, innovators, and experts interested in learning more about Aethir Edge’s decentralized cloud computing technology. Our team showed how anyone who wants to contribute to next-level gaming and AI inference while earning ATH token rewards can join our ecosystem by operating an Aethir Edge device.
